Dinner and musical show.
First designed as a New Year's Eve event, it is a completely loony musical show, a high-voltage and high-wire act. While the audience is dining, 8 musicians and 8 comedians are gathered on stage for a great live frenzy, covering the international pop repertoire in the best NoNo style. Réveillons le Printemps !, this is:
An evening full of kitsch craziness
A muscly and manly Dalidas joust
An opera countertenor cum Woodstock icon
A famous Claude François disco video in steamy flamenco style
A Julio Iglesias from the slums of Buenos Aires
A third round K.O. during Johnny Hallyday's heavyweight fight
A Mozart prelude paying tribute to Francoise Hardy's early years
Wacky choirs and the spirit of disco stars recycled in post-modern cabaret
Gainsbourg and the art of songwriting, an outdated apotheosis of 80's culture
The musicians:
Ahmad Compaoré (drums), Pascal Delalée (violin), Christophe Gauthier (tenor & soprano saxophone, flutes), Stefano Genovese (keys, accordion), Didier Lévêque (accordion), Magali Rubio (bass clarinet), Bruno Simula (guitars), Gérard Stiewe (bass).
