LUCKY PETERSON @ Festival Jazz au Phare (06/08/2018) 22:00
Blues concert "Tribute to Jimmy Smith" as part of the 9th edition of the "Jazz au Phare" festival.
Singer, guitarist, drummer, organist... Multi-instrumentalist Lucky Peterson started the blues at a very young age. His father owned the Governor's Inn in Buffalo, a famous blues club that attracted all the local artists and passing through musicians. « My father nourished me with blues before I could walk. And I played the organ bafore I could speak » tells the man who became the worthy successor of all those heavyweights he mixed with during his childhood. Here, Lucky Peterson is back on his first instrument, the Hammond B3 organ, and he plays the music of his youth idol, Jimmy Smith. A concert at the crossroads between blues, gospel, soul and jazz, fiendishly funky !
