At the foot of the Aurès Mountains, gate of the desert, there is an ancient ritual of Gnawa tradition, the Diwân. On this land where nomadic and settled people meet, wether Arab, Berber or Black African, this rite of healing has evolved over the years and through musical mixing. Born in Biskra, Camel Zekri is one of the best defenders of this Sahara music, that he contributes to enrich and broaden today in the light of a singular career in improvised music.
