A proposal by La Boîte à Musique and Cabaret Aléatoire with the support of Friche la Belle de Mai, SelfWorld, Radio Grenouille et Digitick.
40 musicians and artists under the direction of drummer Ahmad Compaoré for a multidisciplinary event dedicated to collective creation beyond styles and genres.
« Rebel Music delights the airwaves and continues to draw its surprisingly rich and eclectic material in the obviously inexhaustible repertoire of the Ahmadian rounds. His name recalls the desert, Africa and the Orient, it goes well with music: Ahmad Compaoré thrives on collaborations and experiments, always more adventurous, more open and more simple. Once again, the extreme diversity of the talents gathered here is surprising and tempting. This 12th edition will take us on a journey to "Africa, is roots and its legacy". But first of all, a free music, hybrid and powerfully poetic, in order to create an essential music which is ours, made of cultural mix and complicity. The machine is launched, always precious and fundamental. Indeed, Rebel Music is this collective laboratory where one experiments the silence after each exhalation, the silence between the notes which allows meditation. »
