LUCKY PETERSON @ Festival Au Grès du Jazz (08/08/2018) 21:00

Blues concert "Tribute to Jimmy Smith" as part of the 16th edition of the "Au Grès du Jazz" festival.

Lucky Peterson was bottle-fed on blues in his father's club where he met Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon. As a spiritual son of the three King's (BB, Albert and Freddie), he turns his electric inspiration into the pulsation of jazz, the groove of rhythm'n'blues and the energy of rock'n'roll. Having learned to play the organ at age 5, he remains committed to the unique sound of the Hammond B3, a passion he shares with Jimmy Smith, his teacher he met at age 17 and whom he pays tribute to in this concert.
