FAMOUDOU DON MOYÉ & AHMAD COMPAORÉ + FRIENDS
A proposal by La Boîte à Musique and Cabaret Aléatoire.
An exceptionnel event with the presence in Marseille of legendary drummer and percussionist Famoudou Don Moyé, fellow musician of Lester Bowie and most known for his involvement with the Art Ensemble of Chicago since 1969. He is noted for his mastery of African and Caribbean percussion instruments and rhythmic techniques which make him a singular artist. This concert will mark the encounter between 2 generations of drummers, at the crossroads between afrobeat jazz and improvisation, backed up by a formation made of Marseilles-based musicians.

Within a few years, Blitz The Ambassador has become one of the most innovative MCs of the New-York scene. After creating his own label, Embassy MVMT, with the support of The Roots, he released his opus entitled Stereotype in 2009.
